A few days ago we reported that Ralph Lauren could be behind Melania Trump’s inauguration outfit, a job that many designers have publicly refused to accept on moral grounds.
But it just so happens that another designer might be in the running for what is undoubtedly one of the least sought after jobs in the fashion industry. According to WWD, Karl Lagerfeld is now also rumoured to be dressing the future First Lady.
And it’s hardly surprising, as the French icon is renowned for his controversy often hitting the headlines for more than just his designs.
This doesn’t necessarily rule Ralph Lauren out of the equation however, as the Slovenian former model will require two outfits. One for the Inauguration when husband Donald Trump will take his seat in the Oval Office and one for the evening’s inauguration ball.
One thing for sure is President-elect Trump won’t be the only one in the spotlight this Friday.
