We have news to put a spring in your step - Marchesa are launching a shoe collection.
Known mainly for their exquisite gowns – such as that worn by Sandra Bullock to the Oscars in 2010, the night she won her Best Actress award – Marchesa's announcement comes just weeks after revealing they have teamed up with NWH to make a jewellery range too. Is there no end to this brand's fabulousness?
The fashion house, which was founded by British duo Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig in 2004, has made no secret of the fact they are keen to expand and this summer, it's clear they have done just that.
'We've always envisioned Marchesa as a lifestyle brand and including a full shoe collection is an important part of that vision,' Chapman said, as *Buro 24/7 *reports. 'Customers and retailers alike have requested we expand into footwear so it’s incredibly exciting to have found a partner who can help us fulfil that goal.'
The brand has long been the go-to label for celebrities wanting to shine on the red carpet and even down the aisle as well; a number have married in their designs (think Nicole Richie and Blake Lively) .
Now, even their feet will dazzle in Marchesa and come September, we will see exactly what in – their SS16 catwalk show will debut the footwear range.
