If, like us, your grand fitness resolutions for 2017 fell by the wayside sometime in the first week of January, we have just the thing to get you back on the wagon (and back in the gym).
If anything can inspire us to break our bad habits and (whisper it) actually enjoy working out, it's some brand new gym gear. Top of our shopping wish list is the debut sportswear collection from Marc Cain, which launched in stores and online at the start of the month.
Inspired by the athleisure aesthetic that has proved ubiquitous on the catwalk and off (see any ‘off duty’ photos of Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner for proof), the collection is underpinned by strong, streamlined silhouettes, from sleek leggings to structured sports bras and cropped zip-up bomber jackets. A mixture of bright, vibrant shades and softer, candy-coloured pastels make an appearance, with an injection of bold botanical and animal prints.
The campaign stars influencers Tatjana Catic, Camila Carril and Made In Chelsea's Rosie Fortescue.
Amongst our favourite key pieces are the light grey sports jacket, £249, the bold fuschia leggings, £119, which make a subtle but convincing case for the pink-orange colour clash, and this simple black vest with mesh detailing, £169, which takes the cold shoulder trend from the catwalk to the gym.
