The late L'Wren Scott's label L.S. Fashion is set to close, according to WWD. It reports that the company’s director John Hoffman is in the process of having the brand terminated, after applying to have it struck off the government's register earlier this month. Hoffman was appointed as a director in May 2014, after Scott’s suicide earlier that year.
The news comes following speculation last year that the brand was set to close due to severe losses. However, the rumours were denied and branded as "hurtful" in a statement from the company.
There's no doubt L'Wren's label has been a success since launching in 2006, winning over fans including Sarah Jessica Parker and Penelope Cruz with her flattering, tailored silhouettes.
L'Wren's former partner Mick Jagger recently paid tribute to her design credentials, wearing a red cape she designed as he sung 'You Can’t Always Get What You Want' during a performance on tour with The Rolling Stones in North America.
