It’s the final day of Paris Fashion Week and the latest round of shows is nearly over. But not without one last bid for that best-in-show accolade from Louis Vuitton designer Nicolas Ghesquière, who presented the label’s SS17 collection in the shell of their new Place Vendôme store this morning.

The Louis Vuitton look has evolved
Nicolas’s signature tough-girl armour was a little looser this season, as the designer opened the show with a series of softly draped jersey dresses before kicking into his trademark, warrior-worthy tailoring. This season’s spliced prints fell into flippy hanky hems, and everything came with added shimmer – either via iridescent fabrics or glitter mesh overlays. Monsieur Ghesquière has hit his stride after six seasons at the house, and he wants us to all relax and enjoy the party with him.

All of the designer’s muses sat front row
Miranda Kerr, Alicia Vikander, Lea Seydoux, Michelle Williams, Jennifer Connolly and Adele Exarchopoulos? Talk about saving the best ‘til last. We spotted no fewer than five pairs of the label’s kick-ass, track-sole boots in a row on those front row feet - surely the greatest testament to the designer’s ability to create a must-have hit?
