Thank yeesh for the internet, bringing to e-light all kinds of artisinal cuteness that you’d have to raid a fête/boot sale/foreign market full of stinky cheese to find normally. Of course, much of what you will find at those is overpriced tat, whereas the edit at Ship & Shape is all kinds of adorable goodness.

From that evil eye ring you’ve been searching for ever since you saw a £2K version in diamond (like, duh) to printed ceramic flower pots that aren’t sickeningly kitsch to bracelets, notecards and keychains – Ship & Shape is the ideal gift destination as well as the ultimate stocking/flat filler. OK, so you don’t get a stocking any more (maybe – we’re saying nothing) but that doesn’t mean you can’t make one for someone else.
Founded in the US in 2011 by designers and craft makers Erin Smith, Maddy Nye and Annika Kaplan, the intention was to ‘create an online venue to showcase quality, handmade goods’. Not only have they done just that – compiling a thoughtful edit of their favourite artists to work with – but it has kept them in full-time employment, too. Result!
So come on, keep them in bizniz and fill up your coffee table with some rinkydink pieces that are definitely, 100% NOT tat. And shop our favourite bits below.
Evil Eye Ring, £40.84; Handwoven Belt, £54.05; Dang, Gurl Card£2.40; Halfsie Etched Bracelet, £25.23; Mini Everyday Drop Earrings, £19.22
