1. How to make sandwiches
No, really- the models were a production line making cheese, tomato and lettuce sandwiches on sliced white. Molly wanted her girls to be doing something, rather than just modelling- they're active, not passive. Plus, who doesn't like sandwiches?
2. Frills are for tough girls, too
And pleats. And ruffles. The Molly Goddard girl might be wearing tiered tulle, but she's wearing it over a t-shirt, with Penelope Chilvers pony skin clogs and waist-length, wet-look hair. And she's wielding a knife- you know, for the sandwiches.
3. How to wear colour for the new season
Molly's pepto-bismol pink and kermit green palette was mixed in with tough plaids and greys, and formed a collection of just-above-the-ankle dresses, minis, even a pair of Edwardian knicker-looking shorts. And I want all of it.
NB: the sandwiches didn't go to waste - they were collected by a food bank at the end of the presentation. They really thought of everything, eh?
