Fashion East's founder, Lulu Kennedy, has built up a reputation for discovering and nurturing young talent. This years brood is no different - cool, weird, sometimes weird and actually pretty wearable stuff. Here's the lowdown:
This Is The Uniform
At This Is The Uniform, the models played table tennis, ate sweets and read magazines wearing white satin miniskirts, sports mesh and oversized red polka dots in what looked like a much glossier version of my teen years. I'll be trying their sheer white pop socks with white reebok classics out for myself.
Richard Malone
At Richard Malone, structured frills in pink, red, and ticking stripes made up dresses, skirt suits, and tunics over trousers. More pop socks here- these ones were white knee highs, worn with peach leather pointed mules.
Caitlyn Price
At Caitlyn Price, sporty minidresses and bomber jackets boasted cutouts- a bared midriff here, a shoulder there. Parachute dresses wrapped halfway around the body in a penny-sweet palette of pink, blue and white, and bolder splashes of navy and lime. No pop socks here, but more classic kicks- box fresh Nike airmax this time.
