Style clearly runs in the Moss family. Not to remain in her mum Kate's formidable fashion shadow, Lila Grace Moss Hack is clearly making a play for best wardrobe in the household. Sure, the 17 year-old model has some very big shoes to fill, but it seems like she’s worked out a winning formula - looking through mum’s outfit hits and updating them for 2021.
As Vogue pointed out, Lila’s see-through slip dress - her outfit of choice for Kim Jones’s birthday party at Laylow - was a dead ringer for the famously sheer silver slip that her mum wore to a model agency party in 1993.
This makes total sense. After all, Kate Moss is still the ultimate influencer. If you’ve got a pair of ballet pumps, find yourself drawn to bootcut jeans, and are still searching for the perfect leopard print coat, then your wardrobe has fallen victim to the Kate effect, whether you realised it or not.
So who better than her daughter to resurrect her greatest hits? Especially with Kate on hand to offer some choice styling tips. From the little gold dress to extreme flares, here are all the times that mum's wardrobe has inspired Lila's.

The Fur Bomber
Kate rocked the quintessential supermodel off duty look, a fur coat and sunglasses, all the way back in 2013, perhaps serving as one of Lila's retro references.

Lila's 'dressed up to get coffee' post on Instagram gained 22k likes in March, perhaps paying homage to her mum's penchant for fur.
The Sheer Slip Dress
At a model agency party in 1993 Kate made headlines for wearing a totally sheer silver slip dress. The best part? She didn't even realise it was see-through, proving that one of her most famous outfits really was effortless.

Arriving on her mum's arm, Lila Moss wore a black tank dress that didn't leave, err, much to the imagination to celebrate with Kim Jones. Unlike Kate, however, she didn't forget a bra.
The Extreme Flares
Kate's a firm fan of both skinny jeans and their polar opposite: the extreme flare. Snapped here at 2007's Isle of Wight Festival, she paired them with an iridescent corset, as you do.

At a book launch last year, Lila proved she's even more extreme than Kate, wearing a pair of flares with major swish-factor.
The Off-Duty Leather Jacket
As a true '90s poster-girl, Kate knows the power of a minimal leather jacket. In 2011, she still styled it with the decade's heroes - the grungy combination of a tank top and stomper boots.

Out and about in Manhattan, Lila wore her boxy leather jacket with gym-fresh track pants (note the go-faster stripes) and pumped-up trainers by Alexander McQueen.
The Collared Dress
Who else could pull off this outfit (a fashion week number from 2015)? Nobody, that's who. We love its charity shop, but polished enough for Paris, feel.

Four years later, Lila wore her very own collared frock to sit front row at Miu Miu.
The Little Gold Dress
Kate's worn some fabulous frocks in her time, but this liquid gold gown (for her book launch party in November 2012) really takes the cake.

For Marc Jacob's New York wedding, Lila copied mum's little gold dress with a strapless, spangled number of her own.
The Little Black Jacket
Kate used to love shrugging little leather jackets over everything, from faded rocker trees to red carpet-worthy dresses.

And for Princess Eugenie's wedding, Lila proved if it ain't broke don't fix it, slipping her favourite little leather jacket over a frothy pale pink frock.
