Last night umpteen celebrities, models, designers and socialites strutted down the (notably) beige carpet of the annual Met Gala. It’s a $30,000 a head dinner with a star performance – this year from Katy Perry – and more celebrities that the Oscars.

Really, it’s just like prom – everyone turns up in a rented limo wearing an uncomfortable dress and has to pose for pictures that their parents will ‘ooo’ and ‘ahh’ over. While Rihanna and Lily Rose Depp tried their darndest last night to overthrow her, the ultimate Met Gala prom queen title belongs to one Hillary Rodham Clinton. Naomi Campbell, Gwyneth Paltrow, Stella McCartney, Iman and Jessica Simpson were also there, but even then all eyes were on Clinton.
