February always feels like the slowest payday to come around. January was bad enough, but once you get into February the winter feels like it's going to go on forever (even though it is the shortest month), and you see tonnes of great new season stuff going into the shops that you can't afford. The good news is, payday is here, so now you can! Whoop, whoop.

It's tempting to make a beeline to all the new sequinned swimwear and kaftans and short shorts, but let's be realistic - given that you won't wear them for basically another six months. So try and buy the trans-seasonal winners (stuff that's still gonna keep you warm, but will work when the sun comes out too) that you will get decent wear out of in the next few months.

We thought we would give you a bit of a hand with choosing- so let our pay day panel of bloggers, designers and all-round cool peeps give you a heads up on what to wear and buy now that spring has technically arrived, but it's still cold and drizzly out.

Florrie, Singer, Songwriter, and Drummer

**Her Payday Pick: **Kimono, available in store, H&M

Why Buy Now: 'I have a show tonight, and I love to wear the sort of thing that feels festival-ly to perform in,' says all-round incredible singer, drummer and babe Florrie. 'I wear a lot of leather trousers and skirts and this kimono works really well with leather and denim.' Not convinced you need a kimono? Florrie thinks otherwise. 'It's a good idea to start picking up festival stuff early, there's lots of stuff already out now, which you will want to wear when the summer comes around,' she says.

Tamara Kalinic, Founder of The Glam & Glitter Blog

Her Payday Pick: Flares, £255, Stella McCartney

Why Buy Now: The Debrief team tried on flares, and looked pretty damn fine (thanks) but seriously - check out Tamara in these flared denim beauties. 'For 2015, if you have to have just one pair of jeans then it has to be a flare - they're super flattering,' says Tamara. 'Skinny jeans have now become the norm, so flares feel way more fashionable and stylish.' But is it really worth buying expensive jeans when the high street is full of them? 'For sure! It's important to invest in good jeans because you will wear them hundreds of times, and if they're good quality they will last for ages.' Just looking at her legs convinced us.

**Antonia O'Brien, Fashion Journalist and TV Presenter **

Her Payday Pick: Trousers, £200, Isabel Marant

Why Buy Now: What with her super cool TV career, Antonia has to think about her job when she goes shopping. 'I have to have lots of on-screen stuff, like block colours, nothing that really dates, or anything too fussy, so I'm always looking to build on my workwear wardrobe,' she explains. 'It's nice to invest in bits that are beautiful fabrics, like these trousers by Isabel Marant - I feel angry when something is very expensive and from a good brand but it feels really synthetic.' We gave them a good stroke, and verify they feel luxe, plus they didn't crease AT ALL. Turns out Antonia is a practical gal when it comes to hitting the shops, too. 'I shop when I need something specific and when I have money, so I guess it's quite a functional way of shopping!'

Lilah Parsons, TV presenter

**Her Payday Pick: **Cardigan, £194, Acne

**Why Buy Now: **'I don't go shopping for the sake of it,' Lilah told us, 'so when I go shopping it's for something specific.' Like this long cardi from Acne, which we reckon is the cardigan of ultimate versitility, as you can wear it over something smart for work during winter, but you will also want to wrap up in it on the weekend when you're hungover. 'Acne is a brand that I can't really afford but sometimes you can justify stretching to certain bits - I love grey, and as I get a bit older my style is becoming a bit more pared down, so I like that it looks chic, but still casual.'
