Have you heard of Soo Joo Park? If you haven't yet, you will soon. The 27-year-old platinum blonde (she dyed her hair because she 'didn't want to be seen as the typical Asian model') Seoulian by way of California model counts Carine Roitfeld, Tom Ford and Karl Lagerfeld among her biggest fans – depsite only hitting the 'big time' around her 25th birthday (in an industry where model years are like dog years.)

Soo Joo's certainly making up for lost time now, though – in part, thanks to her eclectic and innovative style and her totally awesome Instagram account, which boasts almost 150k followers. As well as opening for Just Cavalli at Milan Fashion Week last month, SJ's has got what we like to call 360 style – there is nothing she won't wear, no aesthetic she won't embrace. From bare-faced sporty, to vampy lipped futuristic, let us count the looks that Soo Joo nails for this week's The Debrief Dissects. So we can all then steal a piece of that, obviously.

**Lesson 1... Vampy futuristic can work off the catwalk

Are white boots 60s or futuristic? The debate rages on. But Soo Joo brings hers back up to the now with a white sheer panelled tee, some stonewash skinnies and vermillion clutch which clashes nicely with her dark red lipstick. Oh, and the chains? They just make everything that bit cooler. White boots are potentially tricky if you aren't a supermodel, but an oversized sheer tee (try this T-Shirt Dress, £60 Pippa Lynn at ASOS) and statement clutch should be what you steal from this look.

Lesson 2... Add some flourish to your stride

So street, so comfortable – but not at all boring. A baseball hat with a Chanel headscarf tied around the back and an oxblood fur throw add unexpected brilliant detail to her models-off-duty uniform of black leather jacket, white tee and black high tops. Also really really liking the extreme split maxi skirt. Try this Monki one, £16.50.

Lesson 3...Do sporty with a side of cute

Shirt, sweater, leather jacket and Converse: again, looking comfortably street. But the flower-print skirt (very Harajuku) and backwards baseball cap just add some really original signatures. It's almost impossible to predict that something like this will work. Soo Joo's style is inbuilt and we can only steal mere morsels of her sartorial brilliance. On this occasion, try a baseball hat – we've totally fallen for this 90s-style Baseball hat, £45 DKNY x Opening Ceremony at My Theresa. It won't look try-hard if you pair it with something preppy.

Lesson 4... Combine matchy matchy with crepe soles

There are several ways to make matchy matchy look offbeat and edgy. Opt for darker floral prints with a sweater around the waist or the piece de resistance, some geeky crepe soled loafers which lend it a kind of sporty edge. These Type 5 Penny Loafers, £415 Adieu at Net-a-Porter are something to work towards.

Lesson 5... But don't be afraid to embrace your kitsch side

Especially when it's courtesy of the Kenzo eye print. There's something adorable about a swingy skirt worn with knee-length socks, but opt for an outrageous sweater like this Graphic Knitted Sweater, £295 Kenzo at Selfridges rather than a button-down Peter Pan collar shirt, which may look a bit sickeningly twee slash bonkers.

Lesson 6... Don't be afraid to stop traffic

Why not. You're young, you're fun – and so is life. Soo Joo's literally stopping traffic; can you see the NYC cab behind her? A crop top with a pencil skirt and a shoulder robed leather jacket sounds all very Olivia Palermo – but not with flat sandals, a messy bun and some avant-garden rimmed sunnies. Learn from this for the summer. In the meantime, buy some Super sunglasses from Shopbop.
