Pernille Teisbaek, founder of the blog Look de Pernille, is having a moment. No fewer than 146,000 followers on Instagram are addicted to pics of her polished, minimalist style, where knitwear is currently king. 'My style is casual and effortless with a twist of seasonal must-haves,' explains the 30 year old Danish stylist.
Or, in our words, she's the girl you totally wish you could emulate because she makes even the most boring jumper look hot without looking like she tried, no matter how cold/hot/rainy it is in her home city of Copenhagen.

Which is why we've grilled Pernille about how she makes sweaters sexy for this week's Debrief Dissects.
You Can Do Jumpers Around Your Neck Without Looking Like You're An Extra On Made In Chelsea
'I think it is fun to experiment with layering, like for example using a matching knit as a scarf, so that they blend in with each other,' advises Pernille. Simple but effective.
Brave A Cropped Jumper
Never has baring a midriff looked so classy. If you're not keen on flashing your abs, you can still work this look with a full length roll neck, by removing the belt and adding a necklace instead.
**A Chunky Scarf Is Always A Good Addition **
'Autumn/winter collections have always been my favorite, because you can mix different textures and add more volume. From a stylist's perspective, it’s much more fun and challenging to work with,' says Pernille. We agree. But note well: it helps here that Pernille's kept everything in this look along the same colour palette.
Oversized Polo Necks Don't Have To Look Sloppy
We asked Pernille how to best style your knitwear for work. 'It is all about mixing knits with your classic items, like wearing a knit on top of a dress or skirt so you can play with layering,' she explains. 'Add a classic white shirt and a pair of jeans to upgrade the knit for a more business-like look.'
Rely On The Classics
Don't underestimate practical basics like white trainers and a denim jacket. 'For me it is always crucial that I feel comfortable with my outfit. It makes a difference to your overall appearance if you feel like your outfit is a natural part of you,' says Pernille. 'I also think it is important to have some good basics to prevent wardrobe crises.'
Use Subtle Accessories To Shape Your Silhouette
Accessories can enhance your knitwear without necessarily adding adornment. This belt blends in seamlessly with Pernille's sleeveless jumper, drawing in her waist without advertising the fact that it's there. Sneaky.
