Who could forget Kendall Jenner’s runway debut for Marc Jacobs during New York Fashion Week two years ago? In 0-60 seconds the reality star silenced her critics and become fashion’s new darling, earning her stripes starring in the hottest campaigns and catwalk shows along the way.
And now, it seems that her lil’ sis and Instagram star - Kylie Jenner - is set for a similar fate. The 19-year-old was named as one of Alexander Wang’s new faces for his #WangSquad Fall 2016 campaign, alongside the coolest crop of young stars from Zoe Kravitz to German-born model Anna Ewers. As well as her now-on again beau, Tyga.
Kylie shared with her 74 million followers her campaign snap, a simple polaroid picture captioned; ‘@wangsquad coming soon #WANGF16’, leaving spectators to wonder whether the youngest Jenner sister has been booked for the designer’s show for SS17?
Of course it wouldn’t be Kylie’s first foray into the fashion world. There’s the Kendall + Kylie collection featuring luxe boots and chic backpacks. A bestselling swimwear collaboration with Topshop. And this summer Kylie unveiled her second collaborative line of athletic wear with PUMA. Although we’ll have to wait until this Saturday [10th September] to find out if she’s been booked for arguably one of New York Fashion Week’s hottest tickets, we could totes see her working the brand’s edgy athleisure.
Leaving yet another clue for us fashion folk, Kylie also debuted her drastic new ‘do while in NY: a tousled platinum bob. Pre-show prep? Watch this space.
