Last year Lady Gaga starred in a camper-than-Christmas festive campaign for H&M alongside Tony Bennett, and now Katy Perry takes the reigns. The Roar singer stars in the high street brand's Holiday 2015 TV and print ads.
H&M broke the news via Twitter writing "Proud & excited to reveal the exclusive news that @katyperry is the star of our 2015 Holiday Campaign! #HappyandMerry" alongside the above pic of Katy Perry looking cosy in a Fair Isle Sweater. It promises that the ads will be "full of joy and togetherness for the holidays" and will debut in Novemeber.
"We are so thrilled that Katy Perry will star in our campaign this holiday season. We love everything about Katy, from her incredible talent and energy to her playful sense of personal style," says Pernilla Wohlfahrt, H&M's Head of Design.
And it's clear that the role is a teenage dream come true for Katy (sorry...) as she says: "H&M was one of the places where I first began cultivating my personal style. I have continued to love integrating H&M pieces into my wardrobe throughout the years. One of the reasons I love the holidays is being able to dress cozy and cute, which H&M executes so well for every budget. I can’t wait for you to see the world we created with Jonas Åkerlund and Dan Jackson."
But what we really want to know is whether Katy will be recording a new single for the Christmas ads... Might we suggest a cover of* Jingle Bell Rock*?!
