It's been 20 years since Brit models Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell were first photographed for the launch of Fashion Targets Breast Cancer Campaign.

Back then, in 1996, the young models wore white t-shirts stamped with the campaign's 'target' logo and were captured by famed photographer Patrick Demarchelier sitting on stools.

Skip forward two decades, and it's Mario Testino behind the lens. Both Kate and Naomi are once again sporting white tees – Kate's hanging from off her shoulder, whilst Naomi's is high-necked and tucked into black pants.

Taking to Instagram to comment on the campaign, Mario wrote:

'When I was asked to photograph Fashion Tragets Breast Cancer's original faces, Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss, to mark its 20th anniversary, I couldn't say 'no'.

'Sadly, we have all been affected by cancer at some point in our lives, and there is nothing worse than knowing that a woman close to your heart has breast cancer. That is why this campaign is so important.'

Since its launch, Fashion Tarets Breast Cancer has raised over £14million for Breast Cancer Now – the biggest breast cancer charity in the UK. The campaign was originally conceived by US designer Ralph Lauren, who lost his great friend Nina Hyde (fashion editor of Washington Post) to the disease.

This year, supporters can get involved by purchasing an item of clothing from the campiagn's limited edition 2016 collection. Including pieces from Marks and Spencer, Topshop, River Island, The Fold and Laura Ashley, no less than 30% of the cost of each piece goes towards the charity.

Over the years, Claudia Schiffer, Georgia May Jagger, Sienna Miller and many other A-list names have supported the campaign. Speaking of her involvement in this anniversary year, Naomi Campbell said: 'I never could have expected back in 1996 that I would go on to experience first-hand the harrowing effect this disease can have on individuals, families and loved ones.

'For the last twenty years Fashion Targets Breast Cancer has united us all – scientists, models, designers, mothers, photographers, retailers – as a powerful force against the disease.'

Echoing her thoughts, Kate Moss also commented: 'It’s great to be returning to support Fashion Targets Breast Cancer on this very special anniversary year. Since its UK launch in 1996, when I first appeared in the campaign poster, Fashion Targets Breast Cancer has gone on to impact so many lives by funding vital research into this devastating disease.'
