Arriving to Westminster Abbey this evening, ahead of the rest of her family, Kate Middleton stepped out in a red dress coat complete with black velvet bow, designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen - the designer of her wedding dress, back in 2011.

Kate, who has hosted the annual ‘Together at Christmas’ carol service for the past four years, appeared to make than just a festive statement with her look, but made a noticeable nod to the late Princess Diana, who often donned the same shade of pillar box, with similar black ribbon knotted at the collar.

Prince William later arrived with Prince George, Louis and Princess Charlotte in tow - each wearing shades of the same deep red, fitting for such a festive evening ahead. Whilst Princess Catherine’s might have not been working for much of the year, due to undergoing treatment for a cancer diagnosis in March 2024, it would appear Kate is slowly returning to her usual working schedule, having already been out earlier this week.

Attending the welcoming ceremony for the Emir of Qatar on Tuesday, the Princess of Wales made an appearance in a fitted burgundy coat and matching beret - another heartfelt nod to Diana who previously wore similar looks, we'd like to believe.
