During the royal tour of Pakistan, Kate Middleton proved that she is the master of diplomatic dressing. She wore a mix of both British and Pakistani designers, many of whom had created their own versions of traditional Pakistani clothes just for the Duchess. In new photographs that have surfaced on Instagram, however, it turns out that Kate was also repping the British high street.
At a private event at which Kate and William met staff at the British High Commission, Kate wore a blue floral wrap dress from Ghost. The Avery wrap dress is a very reasonable £195 but has unfortunately (and unsurprisingly) already sold out at Ghost and all of its stockists (ASOS, Selfridges and John Lewis have all sold out of this particular style). Chances are, Kate was drawn to Ghost in particular as its creative director, Sameera Azeem, is originally of British Pakistani heritage.
Kate wore the dress with her New Look shoes, which are still available in a slightly different colour – and for only £22.99.
Kate joins the likes of Carrie Symonds, another woman in the public eye who frequently turns to Ghost for lovely, easy-to-wear dresses that are affordable, too.
While Kate's exact dress may have sold out, fear not – there are plenty of other options available to cater to all manner of occasions.
