Whether or not his campaign, with its slogan of simply ‘YES!’, gets off the ground, the rapper-slash-fashion-designer has generated enough talking points to rival Trump’s in a number of areas, most notably fashion. He’s the architect behind Kim Kardashian West’s wardrobe, which, according toWMagazine, he pretty much binned at the first opportunity, editing down her shoes from 250 pairs to just two. He’s since built a business empire, Yeezy, on the back of mega-hyped trainer collabs, first with Nike and then Adidas, which was valued at $1.5 billion last year and has just announced its 10-year partnership with Gap. Aside from choosing his wife's clothes, Kanye himself likes to play the peacock. This legendary Tommy Ton street style picture, snapped in January 2009 outside the Comme des Garçons Homme, shows Kanye with his group of friends (Virgil Abloh's on the far right) carrying a Goyard suitcase and wearing red leather gloves.
