The Vanity FairOscars after-party always delivers some fashion moments worthy of dissection. And while we loved the directional style moves of Hunter Schafer, Tessa Thompson and Zoë Kravitz, no one stopped us in our tracks quite like Julia Fox. Yes, the woman known for her mastery of black eye make-up has done it again with a clutch made of human hair. Yes, really.
Speaking to interviewers from Vanity Fair, Fox confirmed that the hair was, 'real human hair...I mean, I think so. It looks like it.' Mic drop. And what's even more amazing is that the clutch bag wasn't the most eyebrow-raising element of her ensemble.
Fox's leather gown, which was worn with a coat by Balenciaga, featured a sculpted hand clasped around her throat, a - shall we say? - contentious decision at very least. She also had the words, 'Sancti Spiritus,' written on each shoulder in red ink. Add those signature swoops of black eyeliner - which, she confirmed, she did herself before the party - and it's got to be a contender for most controversial look ever.
