Jeremy Scott Wants You To Dress Like A Gangsta Happy Meal

Food for thought. Sorry.

Moschino

The Mcdonalds - sorry, Moschino catwalk show was last night in Milan and it's basically the most fun we've ever seen on a catwalk. We wish we were there like we wish we were on the FROW at a Britney concert in Vegas. Yeah, that much. Case in point, supermodel Jourdan Dunn tweeted afterwards, having walked in the show: 'Thank you @ITSJEREMYSCOTT for bringing back the FUN in fashion'.

I mean, we thought Karl's fur bots for Fendi were the funnest thing to happen in Milan - until we saw Jeremy Scott's first ever collection for Moschino. It made us want 5 chicken nuggets and a cheeseburger immediately (we were streaming the show in a food-free area, ok) as well as being much clever than it looked. Firstly, you'd never expect the slinky fash set to appreciate a calorific Macdonalds, right? And secondly, it's a witty little note about how fast fashion has, perhaps, become as disposable as fast food.

Given that Scott is the man that brought us high-tops with teddy bear heads attached to the tongues and crop tops featuring Bart Simpson's jaundiced mug, we shouldn't be surprised by the proceedings. But oh, how we smiled! The show kicked off with models dressed like the lovechild of a Desperate Housewife and Ronald McDonald. The Moschino logo was re-configured as Maccy D's golden arches - natch - worn across jumpers and baseball hats, whilst small quilted Chanel-like handbags were red and yellow and carried on a food tray.

We've checked out McDonald's Twitter feed- we have to question who the 2.2 million people that follow them actually are? - and sadly they've offered no comment thus far on their no doubt first and only appearance at Milan fashion week.

Katy Perry was in residence - holding the whole thing up considerably with her late appearance, fyi - watching as the collection segued from the McDonald's colour palette of ketchup red and sunshine yellow to encompass entire looks dominated by the SpongeBob Square Pants motif, tons of Moschino logo underwear and gangsta chains - Jourdan Dunn wore a Moschino emblazed doo rag - and some candy couture dresses. Scott's Moschino debut culminated in Lindsey Wixson in a wedding dress, complete with nutritional value. We like that; what is the calorific cost of a wedding?

Actually, we more than liked. We loved.
