James Corden To Host This Year’s CFDA Awards

James Corden is officially winning at 2015. He's keeping Americans up past their bed time each night, with his cheeky antics on the* Late, Late Show*, and now it has been confirmed that he will be hosting the CFDA Fashion Awards. You know, the awards where Rihanna turned up last year in nothing but crystals.

He might not be an obvious choice for such a prestigious fashion gig, but when you think about it makes perfect sense. Previous hosts include Seth Meyers, Andy Cohen and John Waters.

Plus Corden is more connected in the biz than you may think - remember this is a man who lunches with Anna Wintour. James said to Heat about Vogue's editor-in-chief: "I love her. When I was doing a play in New York, we used to go for lunch every month. I'd say I speak to her fairly frequently. I just really, really like her and we get on very well."

The awards will take place on Monday 1st June at Lincoln Centre. This year's Fashion Icon award will go to Pharrell Williams, and other nominees include Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Alexander Wang, Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Joseph Altuzarra.
