The Reason James Corden Closed Burberry? For A Skit On ‘The Late, Late Show’

We think it's safe to say that James Corden has made it in America. But in an unexpected twist he is fast becoming a the fashion industry's new darling.

The Burberry show is usually closed by, you know, Cara Delevingne. But at their special show in Hollywoodlast Thursday night they selected James Corden to close the show with Naomi Campbell, Jourdan Dunn and 19 First Battalion Grendadier Guards. It's now been revealed why James closed the show. No he's not the new face of Burberry, it was for a skit for the Late, Late Show.

In a skit that aired last night, we see James prepare to strut his stuff on the Burberry catwalk. Naomi Campbell coaches him through the whole thing, telling him to be "fierce, fierce and vulnerable." He comes out with some classic Corden lines: "someone get me a Danish," and "some of these tubbies look terrible."

James has been truly embraced by the fashion industry - he is set to present the prestigious CFDA Fashion Awards in June. Yep that's the one when Rihanna turned up last year in little else by crystals. Also remember James counts Anna Wintour as one of his number one fans.

James said to Heat about his friendship with Anna: ""I love her. When I was doing a play in New York, we used to go for lunch every month. I'd say I speak to her fairly frequently. I just really, really like her and we get on very well."

So what's next? A contract with Storm? A collaboration with H&M? An American Vogue cover? A cameo in* Zoolander*?
