Iris Law, the 15 year-old-daughter of Jude Law and Sadie Frost, is reportedly set to sign a modelling deal with Chanel.
According to the Daily Mail, a source close to the teen revealed, ‘Iris has been courted by a big fashion house in Paris offering a six-figure contract. She is already advertising on her Facebook page that she ‘works for Chanel.’
‘[Her mother] Sadie isn’t stupid. She’s been a model herself and knows her daughter could make a lot of money,’ the source added.
Iris’s modelling career has been in the ascent since last December, when she starred in the moody campaign for the Violetta Fancies You x Illustrated People collaboration. This year, she has bagged a shoot in Teen Vogue, modelling a patterned dress by Coach 1941, and has starred in a recent issue of LOVE magazine.
Iris’s mother Sadie did nothing to dispel the rumours when she was questioned by reporters over the weekend, merely answering, ‘I can’t tell you any of that stuff, it’s all a big secret.’
‘You shouldn’t be asking me those things because there’s contracts and stuff.’ Very secretive, Sadie…
If the rumours are true, Iris will be following in the footsteps of her godmother, Kate Moss, who is a long term favourite of the fashion house’s legendary creative director, Karl Lagerfeld.
Speaking to Teen Vogue in April, the teen revealed that she’s had an interest in fashion from a young age – and that she gets style inspiration from her mum. ‘I like looking at pictures of my mum when she was around my age and seeing her make-up and little dresses. I was always really interested in what she was wearing growing up and did quite creative things with how I dressed myself.’
Whether or not the whisperings prove unfounded, it seems that fashion designers won't be falling out of love with A-list offspring any time soon.
