Irina Shayk Collaborates With Tod’s On The Redesign Of Princess Diana’s Favourite Bag

Ever wondered what a supermodel carries in her handbag? Well, thanks to Irina Shayk’s latest Tod’s collaboration we’ve been let in on the secret.

“My life is in my bag,” Shayk reveals while on route to Tod’s Milan Fashion Week show. “Sunglasses, a little candy – a splash of sugar to get you over the jetlag is the best way to fight it off! A charger, a little mirror on the back of your cell phone case so you can check how you look. Sadly, my dog would never fit inside this bag!” she adds.

Shayk stars in one of four short films as part of Tod’s ‘My Life In This Bag’ campaign to celebrate the redesign of the brand’s Iconic D bag.

The legendary bag - the first ever created by Tod’s - was a hit with celebrities and tastemakers of the day when it launched in 1997. Lady Diana, Princess Caroline of Monaco, Hillary Clinton, Cindy Crawford and more were all fans of the design.

Fast forward two decades and the brand has given the bag a refresh with the new Tod’s D Styling bag launching as part of the SS19 collection. The new Tod’s D Styling bag is characterised by a unique central curve, inspired by the wings of butterflies and made possible by Tod’s expert craftsmanship.
