Finding the perfect pair of wedding shoes can be, to put it bluntly, a pain in the proverbial. Most wedding shoes are a bit Mumsy (that small heel is designed to keep you comfy all day, but they don't half look a bit boring), and are always eye-wateringly expensive just because they are white and have the word 'wedding' attached to them.
So we were pretty excited to discover Figgie Shoes, a unique custom-made wedding shoe service, viaBuzzfeed.
Canadian artist Deborah Thomson hand-paints each shoe with personalised quotes, images and designs unique to each bride. Chatting to each bride-to-be about her personal style, Thomson has incorporated everything from handwritten letters, to illustrations of Paris.
“I ask for a list of approximately eight to twelve items they’d like incorporated into the design,” she said to BuzzFeed Life, “sometimes offering suggestions to help them think of meaningful things.”
