It may not be one of the immediately referenced nations when you think of strong fashion, but Australia is one seriously brilliant nascent fashion scene. Some of our favourite colourful, graphic labels hail from Australia; as photographer Zanita Whittington says, ‘Aussie girls love to wear colour.’ Fun is a byword in Australian fashion – regardless of your own personal style.

This is something that resonates when you check out Fashion Bunker, an e-store which collates a bunch of young, brilliantly-priced Aussie designers – Cameo, Finders Keepers, Jaggar, Keepsake, Tony Bianco and The Fith – and also ships to the UK. If you happen to live/visit Down Under, Fashion Bunker also have a shiny new bricks-and-mortar flagship store in Adelaide.

Here’s a little bit about each of the labels – and our top picks of what’s available right now:

Cameo

Since it was born in 2010, Cameo has garnered a fan in Kim Kardashian and become the byword in sassy eveningwear. Think graphic prints, scuba fabrics, plenty of crop tops and sheer panels – there’s also a hefty selection of stripes for a slightly more pared-back style.

The Finale Bustier, £54.53; Lights Dress £125.46; The Love Dress, £92.72; Sun & Moon Skirt, £81.81

Finders Keepers

Established in 2009, Finders Keepers is all about a bold and girly aesthetic. Worn by everyone from Rihanna to Sienna, it covers monochrome gingham through to primary coloured florals and brightly coloured mesh and sheer. We challenge you not to find a sassy dress for a wedding out of this lot.

Life Smoke Skirt,£76.35; Once Again Bomber, £92.72; Atlantic City Shorts, £54.53; Strange Fire Playsuit, £92.72

Jaggar

Featuring a more subtle colour palette than the others, Jaggar is all about earthy muted colours, in fashion-forward cuts and a ton of giraffe print. (We never realised how much we liked giraffe print before.)

Totally Wild Skirt,£76.35; Airborne Bra, £43.62; La Pinafore, £70.90; Camouflage Dress, £81.81

Tony Bianco

A classic but essential capsule shoe edit, Tony Bianco encompasses court shoes, heeled ankle boots and ponyskin trainers. Get the basics for your feet, to offset the bold kecks that you will gather from the rest of the site.

Black Leather Pony Trainers, £98.18; Duval Boot, £109.09; Fabrique Stilettos, £92.72; Leola Stilettos, £87.27

The Fifth

Think of The Fith as your easy basics – stripes, T-shirts, block-coloured trackpants and tracksuits, all in distinctly un-shouty hues. It’s also amongst the cheapest stuff on the site.

Next To Your Romper, £43.62; The Long Sea Jumper, £38.16; See The Sun Dress, £38.16; Hard To Beat T-Shirt, £24.52

Keepsake

Not one for the faint hearted – think splashy racer-back floral mini frocks and maxis, shimmery black LBDs and brightly-coloured silky tanks.

Chilled Heat Top, £49.08; Obsession Bodice, £81.81; Run The World Long Sleeve Playsuit, £98.18; Run The World Skirt, £70.90
