Remember Kensington Roof Gardens – the exclusive London hotspot made up of abundant flora and fauna, and a family of real live flamingoes...? Either way, imagine that scenario in a high fashion ad campaign and you've pretty much thought up the backdrop for Gucci's Pre-Fall 2016.
Set in a glass aviary, amidst luscious green trees, leaves and vines – and not forgetting that flamboyance of flamingoes (their correct collective noun, in case you were wondering) – the exotic shoot sees Gucci's models, like Nicole Atieno and Polina Oganicheva, lounging on books and reclining in chaise lounges, decked-out in the luxury fashion house's Pre-Fall finery.
There are poppy-patterned midi skirts, brilliant pink jacquard flared-trouser suits, ornate corsages, gold metallic elbow gloves, black leather berets, lip motif sandals, snake embroidered loafers, and jeans, and tees... tiered tulle evening gowns, metalic gladiator sandals, geek chic gold glasses, and lots, lots more... In short, it's an intellectual's exotic paradise.
So if you're keen to see more of this eccentric wonderland, shot beautifully by Glen Luchford and styled by Jane How, just keep scrolling...
