Gucci has opened its very own pasta restaurant in Florence, Italy. As we know, Gucci does not do things by halves, and this pasta joint will be anything but ordinary.
Gucci Garden, the brand’s new concept store, will serve up Michelin-starred pasta by famed chef Massimo Bottura. Known for his work at the three-Michelin-star restaurant Osteria Francescana, the Modena spot has regularly made the top five at The World's 50 Best Restaurants Awards.
Located in the Gucci Museo, the space is housed in the ancient Palazzo della Mercanzia which dates back to 1337.
Unlike other restaurants opened by fashion designers, Gucci Garden will also showcase clothing, art, video installation, accessories and heirlooms from the storied fashion house.
Downstairs there will be an intimate 50-seat restaurant called the Gucci Osteria. For his high fashion venture, Bottura has created an entirely new menu. Featuring iconic Italian classics with a twist, highlights include Parmigiano Reggiano tortellini, pork buns and mushroom risotto.
Additionally there will be a bazaar-like retail space selling one-of-a-kind pieces designed exclusively for Gucci Garden.
Entry to the Gucci fashion emporium will set you back 8 euros, half of which will go towards supporting restoration projects around the city of Florence
