Renowned for floral brocade, geeky glasses and the reinvention of the pussybow blouse, Alessandro Michele brought back the fun and flamboyance fashion forgot when he took over the Gucci reigns in early 2015.

From the most Instagrammable logo t-shirt there has ever been to the fur-lined backless loafer, the Gucci Effect' is well and truly in full swing.

And this summer, we can all participate in Michele's romantic vision. Gucci has announced that the brand will take over one of London's most prestigious stores. The Italian fashion house is planning a month-long partnership with Harrods which will include a Gucci garden and an exclusive collection by Alessandro Michele (which will include limited edition pieces).

The collaboration will also offer customers a DIY service, which will enable you to add your own personal stamp to stand-out Gucci pieces. We're talking everything from butterfly motifs to decorative patches.

The event will also be an opportunity for you to preview the brand's debut women's fragrance, Gucci Bloom, which will be available from July 31st.

Harrods' Chief Merchant, Helen David, is particularly thrilled to welcome Gucci in-store: "This exciting collaboration will provide our customers with the unique and inspiring opportunity to challenge their personal creativity with the same eclectic spirit that Alessandro Michele has brought to fashion."

She continued: "In our floral-festooned Gucci wonderland, aficionados of the brand will be able to personalise their own statement items, from bags and shoes to ready-to-wear, in the ultimate interactive design experience. This is a true world-first exclusive with one of the hottest brands of the moment."

Keep an eye out for further updates and in the meantime, get saving.
