You've just got into work, glimpsed yourself in the toilet mirror, and seen that your complexion resembles the sludge-coloured building across the road. Depressing, right? What's more, those two weeks in Ibiza feel like they happened about 23 years ago, and funnily enough putting on foundation that is three shades too dark for you just doesn’t seem to be helping.
Fortunately, make-up artist, Lucy Joan Pearson has come up with the perfect antidote to lacklustre skin. What's even better is that you can do it from the comfort of your own desk and it only takes a few minutes. Perfect for disguising those last vestiges of hangover before your post-work date.
Before you start you will need:
-
Foundation
-
A foundation brush
-
Peach Toned Cream Blush
-
Berry Toned Cream Blush
**And here’s how you do it: **
Step One
First you need to give your skin a touch up (it’s been a long day) with a light, luminous foundation; we used M.A.C Mineralize Moisture Foundation, £28. Using a foundation brush, we like the EcoTools Foundation Brush, £7.99, apply the product where you need it most.

** Step Two **
Once you’ve sorted the base, it’s time to go in with the blush. Take the peach toned one, we love Maybelline NY Dream Touch Blush in Peach, £6.49, and apply to the cheekbones and lightly to the temple. We used a stipple brush to gently blend the colour, but you could just use your fingers. The idea with this shade is that it will bring warmth to your face. Also, cream blushes work better for this look because they leave a lighter, dewier finish.
Step Three
Now your complexion is looking a little warmer, the berry blush will sit a lot nicer on your cheeks and you’ll avoid the OTT china doll look. Take the berry blush, try Maybelline NY Dream Touch Blush in Berry, £6.49, and blend it softly onto the apples of the cheeks using your fingertips.

Step Four
Finish off the look by taking the foundation brush you used earlier, and blending the blush in with a gentle patting motion – you really don’t want any harsh lines as it will spoil the effect.
And there you have it! You're the proud owner of skin that looks so glowing people will think that you’ve just had your face pummeled by a facialist for an hour, when really, all that’s pummelled your face recently is the damn rain.
