Gird your loins because the going out top, in all its carefree glory, is making its return this summer. In Paris, Bella Hadid wore a black ribbed cardigan with a teeny-weeny fastening across the chest that meant a huge tranche of skin was left on show.
Across the pond in New York, Emily Ratajkowski has also sported a going out top (albeit during the day) from Cult Gaia, an itsy-bitsy halter neck that exposed a foot of bare skin above her loose-fit jeans. Both tops involve either a cropped length or a cut-out but in quite a specific configuration; look closely and you'll notice that they both have, what we've decided to call, a Bermuda Triangle (of skin, that is).
And you can expect to see it everywhere this summer. Jacquemus's fall 2021 show happened just this week in Paris, but the clothes are available to buy now. In his collection were several of the exact tops we're talking about (Hadid's was worn straight off the catwalk, and the exact style is available in black, red, aqua, tangerine and beige for £270). Just be sure to balance out the bare with something baggy on the bottom (either cargo pants or jeans like Ratajkowski). Now all that's left to do is pray for some decent weather.
