It turns out you don't have to be a Kardashian to get the hottest ticket this New York Fashion Week, as this season Givenchy are giving spots to members of the public. Seriously.
The fashion house are moving from Paris to New York this season, to celebrate the opening of their Manhattan flagship store. A one-off Givenchy show is bound to have the FROW to end all FROWs (sounds like the perfect spot for a Kardashian Jenner West family outing, right?), but they also have 1,200 tickets for non-celebrities.
WWDreports that Givenchy will allot 820 tickets on a first-come/first-served basis on a website, which is set up with the City of New York. The website link will be released today at 3pm UK time, on Givenchy, the CFDA, KCD and NYCgo's social media. Plus, 280 tickets have been set aside for students and staff from FIT, Parsons, Pratt Institute and the High School for Fashion Industries. Beats a school trip to the local mill, eh?
And if you live near to the (top secret) location, you're in luck as 100 tickets are being given to local residents.
Riccardo Tisci said to WWD of the show: "[The United States] gives me so much energy, and I’m very inspired by the culture.” As for the assigned September 11th show date, he said: “It’s a very delicate day for America, and so the show is going to be a celebration of family and love."
Anyone tempted to fly to NY?
