From The Wolf Of Wall Street to the Batman trilogy, Giorgio Armani has worked on the costumes of over 200 films. The Italian designer is now turning his hand to nurturing young cinema talent with the launch of a new special project.

In collaboration with the brand's Frames Of Life eyewear collection, Armani has teamed up with the British Film Institute (BFI) to create Films Of City Frames. The project, whose first edition took place in 2014, aims to support promising filmakers from a selection of international film schools.

This year students from institutions in Seoul, Torino, Sydney and Sao Paulo will be tasked with producing short films -incorporating glasses from the Armani collection - inspired by the real lives of people in their respective cities.

"I've always been a big fan of movies," explains Armani, of his reasons for starting the initiative. The finished cinematic works will be presented at the 59th BFI London Film Festival in October.
