Your first look at Gigi Hadid’s long-awaited capsule collection for Tommy Hilfiger is finally here – and it certainly lives up to the hype.
The collection – which features everything from sportswear to shoes to sunglasses – presents Gigi’s modern twist on the brand’s classic all-American style. From the simple blue and white colour palette to chevron detailing and cosy cable knits, TommyxGigi is a sleek new take on nautical, which fans of the model’s signature off-duty style will want to snap up ASAP. Available to shop at tommy.com from September 10, the TommyXGigi collection will premiere on the runway at New York Fashion Week on September 9. In a major first for the brand, the #TommyNow presentation will be open to the public and live-streamed on tommy.com.
Gigi was announced as Global Brand Ambassador for the label last year, and has since starred in a series of campaigns for the brand. When news of her collaboration broke last year, she revealed, ‘I never thought I would be asked to design a capsule collection, so it still feels like a dream that Tommy approached me to collaborate. His company is one that I genuinely love and have been a fan of for my entire life, and Tommy is the easiest, most fun person to work with.’
In her own words, ‘[the] collection celebrates the iconic Tommy lifestyle and mixes a bit of everything: there are styles that are really hippie-chic, styles that are sporty streetwear, and styles that are tomboy but girly; everyone’s is going to love a different part of it.’
