Model of the moment Gigi Hadid isn’t one to rest on her laurels. After being omnipresent on the runways of New York, London, Milan and most recently Paris, the 21-year-old has revealed her exclusive design for Stuart Weitzman, part of the brand’s autumn/winter 2016 collection.
The hiking-inspired lace-up Gigi Boot is set on a stacked heel, and is available in three covetable finishes: a soft crocodile print in black (£498) and two metallic shades, copper and silver (£460).
To mark the launch on eu.stuartweitzman.com, fans can check out the new short film for the campaign. Directed by James Franco and starring Gigi, #doitright sees the model sparring in the boxing ring (wearing her namesake boots, of course).
The boots don’t just look good – they’re also helping to do good, too. Gigi’s design celebrates Stuart Weitzman’s partnership with Pencils of Promise, and their commitment to giving every child an education. The brand will help build three schools this year: one in Ghana, one in Guatemala and one in Laos.
Gigi’s relationship with the iconic footwear brand goes way back. She’s currently the face of the autumn/winter 2016 campaign and previously starred alongside fellow top models Lily Aldridge and Joan Smalls wearing just Stuart Weitzman shoes in 2015, so it’s no surprise that they’ve chosen to work together on this latest project – particularly as the social supermodel is the undeniable ‘It’ girl of 2016.
It’s not Gigi’s first time dipping her toe into the world of design, either. The model has recently designed a collection in collaboration with Tommy Hilfiger, which she debuted at New York Fashion Week, with Taylor Swift, Kris Jenner and Lewis Hamilton all sitting in the front row.
Gigi’s designs are available now from eu.stuartweitzman.com. Credit cards at the ready…
