So you want to be up in the club, sippin on bub. But first you have to navigate the bus and the walk to the bus stop, it's February and raining. Do you wear thermals and then sweat up a storm on the dancefloor? It's nearly as bad as working out an office-friendly day-to-night look. So what do you wear if you want to have moves like Jagger without overheating while you shake your tailfeather?
1. Keep cool with a camisole
We think a midi-length grunge-infused camisole dress, when worn with a choker (model's own) is the bees bloody knees. Add some beaten up sneaks like these Francy Canvas High Top Trainers, £300 by Golden Goose at Matches Fashion and a sturdy leather jacket (this Mape Leather Jacket, £1,150 by Acne at Matches Fashion is the dream) for when you step outside for a breath of fresh air/cigarette. The little side-split of this Pins & Needles Pin Dot Slip Dress, £48 at Urban Outfitters will add a nice flash of leg when you're super casually leaning against the bar.
**2. Look hot and be chill in stripes **
[ASSETHERE=image]
According to the rule book, there's too many stripes for this to "work", but whatever puts hand up to the rule book. But when one thing's an iddy-biddy crop top Knitted Sheer Stripe Jumper, £38 at Topshop (classic clubwear, natch) and the other thing is a pair of lounge panty Relaxed Stripe Trousers, £39.99 by Mango at ASOS, in which you can slut-drop without your bum hanging out, you're golden =. Chuck on a pair of Adidas Gazelles just for co-ordinated laffs.
**3. Travel in style with a denim shirt **
OK, so what about those hours leading up to catwalking through the club? Pre-night out drinks, dinner with the gals and taking the bus – all great but perhaps a 7pm dinner with your other half's mum and dad is a little *too *early to be falling out of your leather bra-let? Plonk a denim shirt like this one, Vintage Renewal Denim Shirt, £28 at Urban Outfitters, over, say, a black leather mini skirt and velvet bustier (we're loving this Crop Top in Velvet, £8 at ASOS) to save your pride in front of the olds – just whip it off later on and tie it round your waist when you get too hot and bothered twerking.
