Kurt Geiger's brand new collection launches today, and it's full of the sorts of accessories that will instantly cheer up your wardrobe. Embellished mules, bejewelled bags and flashes of vivid, bright colours are all part of the latest offering, which is modeled with aplomb by Brit actor (and a nascent style icon, in our opinion) Gemma Chan.
Entitled 'Characterful Style', the campaign features the Crazy Rich Asians star in KG's zesty yellow mid-heels, along with three of the brand's Kensington bags – Kurt Geiger's fastest selling bag that is now available in over 80 different styles. Given that Dame Joan Collins is one of KG's other famous faces, it seems like Chan is in pretty good company.
Speaking about her own shoe preferences, Chan said 'I prefer heels for the red carpet but otherwise mostly flats. I like to be comfortable! In one sentence, my style would be laid back day to day, but dramatic and experimental when the occasion calls for it.' Chan made headlines everywhere at this year's Golden Globes, thanks to her incredible Valentino gown – something she now cites as her favourite fashion memory.

As she's now used to being photographed constantly, she also shared some tips to feeling confident: 'Confidence can take time to develop, but I think true confidence comes from knowing who you are, what your values are and being comfortable in your own skin. Also accepting that everyone is on their own journey and that you aren't necessarily going to agree about everything all the time.'
Thankfully, the new KG range comes just in time for sunnier weather (fingers crossed), when we can finally replace our ankle boots and trainers with pretty flats, mules and sandals. Kurt Geiger sells over four million pairs of shoes every year, and with a new collection this strong, it looks like 2019 will be no different.
