With three royal weddings in the space of a year, we've seen more fascinators than you could shake a stick at. What we haven't seen is as many high street creations as were present at Lady Gabriella Windsor's wedding on Saturday, where several high-profile guests shunned super-expensive dresses in favour of something entirely more affordable.

Princess Beatrice, for example, arrived in a navy, lace tiered midi dress by the wonder that is Self Portrait. It has become a go-to for occasion dressing at reasonable prices – and for good reason. Han Chong, the creative director and founder, makes each piece look entirely original, which is always good for those moments when you're worried about turning up in the same Zara dress as everyone else. The craftsmanship of Chong's designs belies their mid-range prices; Princess Beatrice's dress is £370.

While only a couple of sizes are left in Beatrice's navy dress, there's another similar style available in icy blue, without sleeves.

Another guest championing the high street was Alizee Thevenet, girlfriend of James Middleton. She wore an H&M midi that's only £49.99. It is still in stock in one or two sizes online, however it is still available in many stores.

Pippa Matthews chose Kate Spade, which, while not technically high street, was a beautiful blue midi – and a stylish take on florals.

Again, there is limited stock available online at the moment, but the brand is working to acquire more from the US, which would reportedly take a few weeks. Worth the wait, if you ask us.
