Fendi scented bag

Most It bags boast bells and whistles that include lock-and-key closures, chain-link straps and, of course, logos. The latest edition to Fendi’s Baguette family goes one step further. Its leather isn’t just butter-soft - it’s scented.

The Baguette and Nano Baguette both smell of FendiFrenesia - a leathery fragrance created specially for the brand by Parisian perfumer Maison Francis Kurkdjian. The leather is soaked in almost pure perfume and then dried for a fortnight, using a traditional process patented by Francis Kurkdjian in 2014. It’s guaranteed to last for at least three years thanks to the long-lasting bottom notes, but both bags also come with a 5ml bottle of FendiFrenesia, as well as a card to spray it on, so you can prolong its distinctive musk once its faded.

Now’s the time to invest in a Baguette. It’s consistently a top-seller on luxury resale site Vestiaire Collective, and is set to be featured in the V&A’s upcoming exhibition Bags: Inside Out. Carrie Bradshaw once lamented, ‘I’m gonna be a bag lady! A Fendi bag lady, but a bag lady!’ We’d happily join the club for a Baguette.
