Our Favourite Scandi Brand Weekday Has Just Hit The UK

The cult label – famous for its super cheap Acne-esque staples – has finally arrived in the UK

The next time you touch down in any Scandi country, promise us one thing: that when you see a monochrome monolith with WEEKDAY written across it in block capitals – go in. Whilst the British high street is undeniably the strongest in the world, when it comes to sporty chic-infused minimalism, no-one can beat the Scandinavians. And we’re not just talking super expensive (but obviously delicious) brands like Acne, By Malene Birger, Designers Remix and Wood Wood. We’re also talking the Scandi high street, which, slowly but surely, in the form of Monki and COS has been making its way over here. Weekday is filled with not only its own label, but other new mid-price brands making a name for themselves in the fashion consciousness, like Christopher Lemaire, BACK and Rodebjer.

Now the latest Scandi import has arrived at ASOS in the form of a 12-piece MTWTFSS collection from the Weekday label. And whilst it doesn’t quite have the same impact as the gigantic store, there is a sweet, sweet selection to titillate you until you save up for that trip to Copenhagen. Even better, unlike a lot of imported labels, the RRPs haven’t mysteriously tripled.

Weekday is described as Cheap Monday’s older sister, and the aesthetic is certainly more pared-back. From wide-legged black trousers, to the perfect low-arm tank top fit for Erin Wasson, to a split-hem denim top – all yours for under £40 – these are the summer basics that you’ve been secretly looking for, that look significantly pricier than they actually are.

We’re shopping the hell out of this new drop pretty much as we type. We’ll see you at the PayPal gates!

Weekday Denim Top, £35, Weekday Wide Cropped Trousers, £36, Weekday Drop Armhole Vest, £16, Weekday Wrap Front Denim Skirt, £27 and Weekday Cami Top, £14
