Sacai has debuted its brand new bag collection with a stylish and slick film by famed fashion photographer Craig McDean.

The Japanese fashion line helmed by Chitose Abe has garnered a cult-like following since its launch in 1999, thanks to her patchwork-esque ready-to-wear, but she only launched a handbag line this season. Former Mulberry designer and accessories queen Katie Hillier was brought in to lend her undeniable expertise.

Naturally, the bags are also hybrids - with every one of the six styles being a two-in-one, morphing from one style into another (a satchel can be folded into a tote, while a coin purse doubles as a duffel bag, for example).

‘My goal was to create a bag collection that distilled the spirit of Sacai and that I’d be excited to wear myself,' explained Abe. 'For a woman, a bag is such an important

part of her identity, so I wanted to create a collection that is an authentic expression of luxury but that brings something new to what is already a very busy category – a modern, playful version of true luxury.'

The film, which stars girls of the moment Alice Metza, Binx Walton, Jess Picton Warlow, Kiki Williams and Lexi Bolling perfectly captures their stunning versaility. We know what's top of our Christmas lists this year...

Watch it exclusively on Grazia below.

The collection is available in stores worldwide from the end of January. And will be pre-launched at the pop-up store in Selfridges from 5 December.
