Futuristic, mysterious, confident – such is the mood of Steven Klein’s short film for Jimmy Choo’s new SS15 ‘Cindy’ eyewear.
Against the backdrop of the Mojave Desert – in an industrial, science fictional setting – the film opens on a sultry heroine (Ondria Hardin) and her sports car. With an ice blonde boy cut and a lick of lipstick, we hone in on her honey-gold Cindys: the butterfly silhouetted shades which provide her intriguing disguise.
Next, she’s behind the wheel and manoeuvring the vehicle, dispassionately, with ease. She’s smooth, she’s slick and she’s stylish – just like her sunglasses. We start to think she might be from The Matrix. Indeed it’s quite possible she is – she’s wearing shades after all…
Inspired by the woven designs of Choo’s legendary sandals, the Cindy’s mirrored lenses give them an elusive character. They are the ultimate in alluring eyewear – and we can't wait to drive off with them.
Cindy sunglasses are available at Jimmy Choo boutiques, high-end opticians and quality department stores, priced £245; jimmychoo.com
