Gird your credit card, hoard Party Feet and whip out the sequins because Christmas party season is coming. While you can almost certainly find a little black dress that’s been hiding in the back of your closet that will just about do for your office party, do you have a bag you can say the same about? Most of us (wisely) spend our hard-earned money on handbags that will see us through the working week, which means they are capacious and probably a little more tired than we’d like to admit. If you have to pick between an outfit and an accessory this season, a new going out bag might be the wiser option. Firstly, it will ensure your ensemble instantly reads party-ready and secondly it’s far more affordable (once you’ve calculated the cost-per-wear) than a new dress. Miniature minaudières and beaded bags are an obvious choice, but without straps, they aren’t ideal for an evening of dancing. If you’re opposed to the clutch than look no further than Topshop where their cross-body selection is hard to walk away from. Take a look for yourself…
