Since finding fame as the lovable Hermione, Emma Watson has always used her celebrity status to raise awareness about a number of causes close to her heart.
As UN Women Goodwill Ambassador she has travelled the world promoting women’s rights and gender equality as part of her HeForShe campaign. Now she is devoting her attention to another one of her passions, sustainable fashion.
Watson has created a new Instagram account to document all the sustainable fashion she will wear on her upcoming Beauty and the Beast tour. Dubbed, The Press Tour, in a mere 24 hours she has garnered 225,000 followers.
Watson, who will play Belle in the Disney remake, started the mammoth press tour this weekend in Paris ahead of the March 17th release.
For her first outing she wore a Stella McCartney jacket, Filippa K jumper and Good Guys Don’t Wear Leather trainers.
While for her second Paris appereance, Watson sported a custom made Oscar De La Renta gown, and Burberry heels.
Every single one of her outfits showcased on the Instagram account has been verified for by Eco Age, Livia Firth’s sustainable fashion consultancy company.
This is not the first time Watson has supported a green fashion initiative. In 2010, Watson collaborated with Fair Trade fashion brand People Tree on an exclusive collection.
