Remember when model Edie Campbell opened the Louis Vuitton show in Paris, wearing nothing but a tiny thong and dozens of tiny LV monograms? We remember thinking at the time, wow - that girl has guts.
Well the model has now said that she agreed to do it when she was smashed. Something that, on behalf of dozens of Debriefers before her who've also made epically terrifying decisions whilst wasted, we fully applaud.
'I was like, "Yeah, whatever, I'm fine with that, I'm carefree, my body is there for the people." So I sloshed over to Louis Vuitton HQ with my mojito, sloshed around and did a trial run,' the 23-year-old Londoner revealed to i-D magazine. (This was no mean feat, fyi: the body paint took seven hours to apply, with each logo being hand-painted and decorated with crystals. The call time for the show was 3am and Edie was held up and painted, while she slept.)
There's more evidence that Edie is just like us, too in the interview - namely her 'anti-pretty' haircut. 'People would think I was this pretty little cherub. That wasn't me at all', the self-confessed tomboy said of chopping her long strawberry hair into a black, Joan Jett mullet. 'This is much more me.'
And then there's a bit that shows she's definitely not. Her horse is called Armani. 'Worst horse name ever'! she laughs.
i-D hits the shelves on Thursday 6th February.
