We aren’t saying black, white and denim should be the sole components of any wardrobe – get some colour in there too, of course! – but as building blocks to a fail-safe capsule wardrobe, they’re pretty sound. They’re also the premise upon which multi-brand e-store Black White Denim is built upon.
It’s not all monochrome chicness, though. There are plenty of young, funky labels and, if we’re honest, they don’t always keep to their own black, white and denim rules. But that’s no problem with us, because who doesn’t want to pair a patterned Etre Cecile tee with their jeans; or to lovingly partner some Ancient Greek winged sandals with their Wildfox sweater?
Essentially, the building blocks have been, well, built upon, and what exists now is just a great edit of mid-designer (rather than super cheap) contemporary fashion.
From Dutch label Maison Scotch, to cashmere turban queen (totally never realised we wanted one before we even heard that they were a ‘thing’) Rosie Sugden, the mix is diverse, but the attitude is fresher than the Alpine air. It’s a good place to discover new brands, like sunglasses range Sheriff and Cherry. Plus, they’ve also produced an epoynmous label of cotton jersey basics to fill the gaps in your easy-to-wear ’drobe.
All of which means we reckon it’s tine to add Black White Denim to your bookmarks. And in the meantime, here’s an edit of the goodies on site right now.
Neon Floral Crop Front Sweatshirt, £70 Etre Cecile; Freak Printed Sequin iPhone Cover, £21 Markus Lupfer; Chip Fork Keyring, £65 Sophie Hulme; Photo Ready Maria Jeans, £250 J Brand; Classic Cashmere Turban in Burgundy, £45
