A time where we can wear sandals may feel like a million miles away but smart shoppers are getting in early to snap up one particular pair. Dune’s ‘Loupe’ sandal, arguably the most popular shoe of last summer, is back in stock.

The flat slider styler that bares significant resemblance to a £490 Hermes pair had to be restocked an impressive six time last summer. It was the bestselling style for Dune in store and online every week from April until June 2018, and 'Loupe' was the most searched term on the Dune website, every week, from May to July 2018.

Plus, the Dune website had a unprecedented influx of five star reviews with one customer claiming they were the 'perfect summer sandal'. High praise indeed.

Featuring a cut-out design, contrast stitching and a low block heel, it’s no wonder the classic wear-with-anything sandal was such a hit. In fact, you could barely scroll through Instagram without spotting a fashion influencer sporting said style.

Naturally, the footwear brand have bought the sellout sandal back for SS19. Fans of the much-loved black, tan and white leather styles will be glad to hear they’re making a return, and there’s set to be a whole selection of fresh new colourways too. These include bright hues such as tangerine orange and fuschia pink, as well as on-trend prints like leopard and snakeskin.

Since the announcement in early January, the sandals have garnered a 3000 strong waiting list, and now they are available for purchase. Move fast if you want to get in on the action, they won’t stick around for long.
