As if Riccardo Tisci wasn't having a big enough week with the sneak peek of that Vogue Japan cover, Givenchy have just released the first shots of Donatella Versace as the face of their Autumn Winter 2015 campaign.
It was announced in April that the pair would be joining forces for their latest campaign, photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and styled by Carine Roitfeld. The first image is a black and white portrait which shows a solo Donatella with her trade mark smokey eyes and platinum hair.
Riccardo Tisci initially announced the news on Instagram saying: "So proud and honored to introduce my new ultimate icon: Donatella Versace #FW15 #Givenchy #Family #Campaign."
It's almost unheard of to see a designer starring in another designer's campaign but then Mr Tisci isn't one to play by the fashion rules. Riccardo Tisici's campaigns are all about empowering, inspiring women. He has previously cast actresses Julia Roberts and Amanda Seyfried in his Givenchy campaigns.
