American model Dilone is funny, relatable and positively brimming with confidence.
She blew us away at the Victoria’s Secret show this year, and has previously walked for Hermés, Stella McCartney and Balmain.
Her candid Instagram stories from bed and unpolished posts are a mix of travel shots, low-key selfies, modelling pics and memes – and make a refreshing change from the typical filtered feeds of other top models.
Janiece Altagracia Dilone, if you fancy calling her by her full name, is ranked among the top 50 models in the world despite only starting out when she was 18-years-old. One of 10 siblings she was born in Long Island to and is of Dominican heritage.
Here are 9 reasons why we love her so.
1. She puts comfort first
‘I like being comfortable, so I tend to dress like a tomboy,’ she told InStyle in an interview. We love her style and pretty much any excuse to swap our block heels for trainers.
2. She thinks a date to IKEA’s cafeteria is #relationshipgoals
And it doesn’t get more relatable than that, I mean – little meatballs, huge dime bars, AND hotdogs?! Be still my beating heart.
Plus you can pick up some cheap houseplants and tiny pencils on the way round.
3. She follows Shit Models Say on Twitter
Which is an account that mocks the modelling industry and all its ridiculousness.

4. She’s friends with Duckie Thot and Jourdan Dunn
Which means we get to see more of our favourite models on each others' feeds.
5. She goes by her last name because she doesn’t want people to link her with Janice from Friends
‘Dilone is actually my last name.’ she told Topshop in an interview on their blog.
‘My full name is Janiece Altagracia Dilone, but I go by Dilone because I hate the name Janice and people always confuse Janiece with it. It just reminds me of Janice in Friends and that nasty laugh… So Dilone it is.”
We hear ya, no one would name Janice as their favourite character from the show, she’s more of a Phoebe anyway.
6. She anonymously shared stories of women who had been victims of sexual abuse, and gave a trigger warning
We forget that for those who have gone through sexual abuse, social media can be a minefield of triggering stories and posts at the moment.
Sharing the stories anonymously helped shed a light on some of the abuse going on in her industry, while protecting victims.
7. She posts memes and dog videos to get us through the day
Both relatable and hilarious.
Didn't know a dog dancing to Despacito was what we needed, but now we do.
Oh, and her motto in life is stop and smell the roses.
8. She doesn’t take herself too seriously
‘I don't like the super serious side of modelling, it feels robotic,’ she told i-D magazine.
‘I love the more expressive sides that make you feel like you're channelling characters. I think it's fun!"
9. Her family BBQs look like the most fun ever
We’re praying for an invite to the next one, well a girl can dream.
